The foundation of World Peace

On 25 May, 2013, Heavenly Culture World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) hosted the Walk for World Peace and Restoration with International Peace Youth Group (IPYG) as a global peace movement. Over 30,000 youths from 130 countries came together to join the peace walk, which became an annual peace event that continues to appeal to the global community by performing a collective action to raise awareness of the peace movement at both the local and global level.

In September 2014, as a global action for world peace, the WARP Summit was held by HWPL, IWPG and IPYG. 200,000 global citizens around the world participated in this summit to seek and muster practical approaches for peace.

 

Convention on the Renunciation and Cessation of War and International Armed Conflicts

In September 2015, in the 1st Annual Commemoration of the WARP Summit, the HWPL International Law Peace Committee with international law experts was launched to discuss practical ways to enhance and introduce applicable legal mechanism for the achievement of world peace. For this purpose, the draft of the Convention on the Renunciation and Cessation of War and International Armed Conflicts was presented to further develop into a binding legal frame for the global community to protect our globe from threats of violence and conflict.

 

 

Committee meeting convenes to draft the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War

 In November 2015, the HWPL International Law Peace Committee comprising international law experts held a committee meeting to discuss the 2nd draft of Convention on the Renunciation and Cessation of War and International Armed Conflicts. In-depth discussions included a post-action plan for the finalization of the draft Convention and its implementation.

The DPCW is a declaration drafted by the HWPL International Law Peace Committee and proclaimed on March 14, 2016. Consisting of a preamble and 10 articles, the declaration describes the responsibility for the global community (especially states) to participate in safeguarding the comprehensive efforts for the establishment of world peace, which includes prohibition of the use of force, blockage of sources of conflict, cooperation among states, dispute settlement through international legal organizations, freedom of religion, and development of a culture of peace.

Wind of peace rises on the worldwide: Movement of Nigerian youths for example

Nigerian youths take lead in peace building for the community

 

At last October 27th, ‘Discussion on the Action Plan of the HWPL Peace Advocacy Committee’ hosted by IWPG (International Women Peace Group) and IPYG (International Peace Youth Group) was held at Kano Hospital Digital Conference Hall in Kano, Nigeria. About 20 representative members in the ‘Patriotic Youth Organisation of Nigeria’ (PYON) and around 30 audiences attended this seminar and devised practical plans for supporting the DPCW (Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War) and advocating the ‘Implementation of the International Law’ for peace. The PYON is a cooperating group with HWPL for peace activities in Nigeria, whose membership has reached 20, 000. It has diverse field members, including professors, lawyers, and journalists. It has tried to make their community a better place for Nigerians to live.

At the DPCW by the global community through the global peace summit, held in Republic of Korea, named the World Alliance of Religions’ Peace (WARP) Summit, PYON chairman, AbdulAziz Seymour Omololu delivered a speech, where he highlighted the importance of civil society’s role in raising public awareness and collective action for peace-building projects.

He said: “I’d like to introduce the 2nd Annual Commemoration of the WARP Summit and explain the Strategy Road map of the DPCW, and its action plan. And we will discuss how we drive the national support for it. We will decide how we collaborate and precede signature campaigns, as a way of support.”

After watching the video, Mr. Adam Sa’id, Vice president of PYON, said: “I was very excited by the audience reaction, which showed that they really understood what the DPCW is all about and their readiness to give their contribution of developing and making it a legally binding document. I also felt extremely happy to see that the audience was really impressed with the letter from the chairman of HWPL, Man Hee Lee.”

The DPCW was drafted with the intent of promoting the respect of fundamental human rights and an international law, and of further involving States in the active protection of those rights.

As a part of action plan, currently, ‘Discussion on the Action Plan of the HWPL Peace Advocacy Committee’ is the first step in realisation of peace in Nigeria.

In this regard, HWPL Peace Advocacy Committee in Kano State also holds monthly discussion to examine the results of their activities and to attain 20,000 signatures for supporting the DPCW. Nigeria takes one step forward to the real peace and is ready to propel drawing Nigerians’ attention on it with this discussion.

Although people of world didn 't significantly consider at beginning, someday peace would arrive for sure on the worldwide!

cooperate with HWPL for the same goal – peace. Women and youth in the global community work
 together and raise their voice of peace.

 

Number of World Peace Tours leading up to WARP 2016

 
From July 2012 to July 2016, HWPL Peace Ambassadors have travelled over 73 countries in a total of 24 world peace tours leading up to WARP 2016.

Over 5,000 peace agreements were signed during WARP 2014 and world peace tours combined. Signing ceremony for the cessation of war served as foundation of the 2nd Annual Commemoration of September 18th WARP Summit.

All the participants who signed the peace agreements called heaven and earth as witnesses, and pledged to become messengers of peace under the Creator, in front of people of all nations.

Number of HWPL badges provided to the global community

More than 10,000 HWPL badges have been provided to the global peace community since October 2013. Every individual committed to join the work of peace by HWPL wears the HWPL badge. As a symbol of global partnership for peace, HWPL badges become must-have items for members of HWPL during the world peace tour.

Number of participants supporting the core initiative of WARP 2016 – Legislate Peace Campaign

 

Until July 24th 2016, 536,873 people from 168 countries have signed their signatures of support for the Legislate Peace Campaign. This will be a significant turning point that contributes to legislation of peace and anti-war mechanism.

This campaign which aims to urge for development of the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of Law (DPCW) into an enforceable law is actively carried out around the world since the proclamation of the Declaration.
